About Tanya Outen Artist
Inspired by the intensity and spirit of the colours of Asia, I strive to accomplish a transcendental, ethereal experience within my Abstract Artworks and Resin Art Jewellery.
Completely self taught, I pride myself in the detail and precision of the shapes created within my pieces. I work primarily with acrylic and resin, incorporating the use of 24 carat gold leaf not only in my artworks, but also to highlight my unique initial âTâ wax seal signature.
My passion for abstract art began during a time of convalescence in 2006, through sketching in a journal along side writing about my experiences. Over time, the sketches became drawings, the drawings became paintings and my art developed into a haven for self expression bringing dreams and thoughts to life.
A move to the Isle of Wight in 2014 saw the realisation of a full time art career, with my inaugural solo exhibition 'Road to Chiarezza' shown at The Big Wight Space, The New Rembrandt Gallery, Newport in August 2015.
I was born in Kent and currently reside in Medway. I am actively involved with community arts projects and also facilitate creative workshops at Nucleus Arts.
