About Shower Blocks
Hi, I'm Neil, the founder of Shower Blocks, and I appreciate your visit. Surprisingly, I handcraft each Shower Block myself. My journey began in 2019 when my frustration with plastic shower gel bottles led me to seek a sustainable, plastic-free alternative. Discovering that millions of bottles go unrecycled annually in the UK, I felt compelled to make a change, even if it impacted just a few bottles.
After experimenting with various products, I couldn't find a satisfactory option—either too drying or too expensive. Dissatisfied with existing body bars, I took matters into my own hands. Over 9 months, accelerated by lockdown, I taught myself cosmetic craftsmanship and birthed Shower Blocks, a plastic-free, solid shower gel without compromises.
