In 2025, my husband Justin and I made a life-changing move to a farm on the South Coast to grow gourmet and medicinal mushrooms and produce handmade, organic functional mushroom tinctures. I’ve been a Traditional Chinese/Korean Medicine practitioner for over 20 years, dedicated to holistic healing, while Justin has built a career in video production, bringing stories to life through film.
My interest in traditional herbal medicine began during travels in South East Asia in the 1980s and 1990s, learning from local healers in China and discovering the centuries-old medicinal properties of mushrooms for immunity, cognitive function, and overall well-being.
After years of burnout, Justin from the pressures of video production, and me from caring for others without tending to myself—we sought a natural way to restore balance. Experimenting with commercial mushroom powders proved disappointing, as origin and quality were unclear. This inspired us to craft our own tinctures in our kitchen. The benefits: calmer minds, clearer focus, and more energy were almost immediate, sparking a shared passion and deeper study into medicinal mushrooms.
Today, we cultivate Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Turkey Tail and Cordyceps using sustainable, organic methods, creating high-quality, dual-extracted tinctures. Combining my expertise in eastern medicine with Justin’s storytelling and branding skills, we aim to educate and inspire others about the healing power of mushrooms. Nestled in the South Downs, our farm is more than a business, it’s a mission to reconnect people with nature and promote natural wellness through ethically produced, potent functional mushroom products.
