Joanne's Preserves is a local business based in Upchurch, Kent, specializing in homemade jams, marmalades, pickles, and chutneys. All products are crafted in small batches to maintain full flavor and are gluten and allergen-free.
About Joannes Preserves
I moved to the lovely little country village of Upchurch when my son was 1 ½ years old having purchased my lovely bungalow from my Brother, who had decided to emmigrate to Canada. The deciding factors included being closer to my parents, whose garden runs alongside mine and also the fact that I would have my own garden.
Already having a passion for gardening my plan was to grow salad, thus saving a considerable sum of money mainly through the summer months.
The first year was very exciting sewing, growing, picking and eating my own delicious cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions & Strawberries. Then the Peacocks invaded, in force! Yes Peacocks - a maximum of 14 at one time! They pecked at my precious vegetables, pooped all over my patio and terrorised my Son!
I still grow some soft fruit, tomatos and cucumber, My latest addition being a Fig tree. All my products are made in small batches, thus maintaining Full flavour. ALL Gluten and Allergen FREE, not detracting from Full flavour.
