Meet Keto & Green, the seller

We’re Kristina and Merlin, founders of Keto & Green. We make Monk Fruit Drops with just monk fruit and water, no erythritol, stevia or fillers. For people looking to reduce sugar without giving up the sweet rituals they love.

...in more detail

CUT BACK ON SUGAR. KEEP YOUR SWEET LITTLE RITUALS. That first coffee. A favourite breakfast bowl. Something sweet after dinner. If you are reducing sugar, Monk Fruit Drops offer another way to enjoy sweetness in the moments you look forward to. Made with just monk fruit and water, they’re a naturally sweet food ingredient for everyday drinks, food, baking and recipes. LOOKING FOR AN OPTION WITHOUT ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS? We wanted a monk fruit option without artificial sweeteners, erythritol, stevia or fillers. Our recipe contains just two ingredients: monk fruit and water. You add it drop by drop, so you can build the sweetness to suit your taste and what you’re making. WHAT IS MONK FRUIT? Monk fruit is a small fruit grown in southern China. It contains naturally sweet compounds called mogrosides, which contribute to its sweetness. Our drops are made using a water-extraction process. The monk fruit ingredient comes from Guangxi, China, and we bottle and pack the drops in the UK. The product is plant-based and suitable for vegan and keto diets. ONE BOTTLE, HUNDREDS OF USES Each 50ml bottle provides 200+ servings, based on a six-drop serving reference. A six-drop serving provides 1 kcal and 0.2g carbohydrate, using rounded nutritional values. It’s our nutrition and servings reference, not a maximum amount for a recipe. HOW MANY DROPS? Start low, stir well, then adjust to taste: • Coffee: start with 4–6 drops. • Tea: start with 2–4 drops. • Yoghurt or smoothies: start with 2–4 drops. • Baking and recipes: start with 8 drops, then build gradually to suit the recipe and quantity. WHY DOES THE AMOUNT CHANGE? Sweetness lands differently depending on what you add it to. Coffee’s natural bitterness can call for a little more, while tea and milder foods may need less. For icing, desserts or a deliberately sweet drink, you may want considerably more than the everyday starting amounts. Build gradually towards the result you enjoy. WHAT DOES MONK FRUIT TASTE LIKE? Like honey or maple syrup, monk fruit brings a flavour of its own, with subtle fruit notes. That fruit character can be more noticeable in tea or plain yoghurt. In stronger flavours such as coffee or chocolate, it can sit further in the background. Both the pairing and the amount you use influence the result. Start with a little and adjust to your preferred balance. BAKING: THINK SWEETNESS AND TEXTURE SEPARATELY Monk Fruit Drops can bring sweetness to baking, icing, desserts and other recipes. Small amounts of the drops contribute very little liquid. But sugar, honey and syrups can also contribute bulk and moisture. When adapting a recipe, use the drops to adjust sweetness and consider how replacing the original sugar or syrup affects those other functions. TWO INGREDIENTS. TWO HANDS-ON FOUNDERS. We’re Kristina and Merlin. We created Keto & Green after looking for a monk fruit option that matched our preferences: just monk fruit and water, without erythritol, stevia or fillers. We wanted to reduce sugar while keeping sweetness in the coffee, breakfasts and recipes we enjoyed. That personal search became the little bottle we now prepare for your kitchen.
