The traditional tenth anniversary gift material is Tin. This necklace is made from an English Pewter alloy which is 95% tin making it an ideal 10th anniversary gift. Each heart leaf pendant is 32 mm wide and 32 mm high (1 inch and a 1/4) and comes packaged in a black presentation box and an organza pouch. Each Glover and Smith heart leaf pendant is handmade from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead content in old pewter) and is guaranteed nickel and allergen free. Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. We use Sterling silver chain and jump rings for their strength. Because we use solid metal the surface of your heart leaf necklace will never flake like a silver plated necklace. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components. All our designs are made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
